The sojourner

The weather changed today. Summer is ending and fall is rolling in. Each new season is like an old friend returning after a long absence. And like a visit from an old companion, the new season brings back memories. Long lost thoughts and feelings. Stories of "good times" blend together into even greater times. Reminiscing of past loves and adolescent obsessions. This returning friend is alluring and seductive, his long yarns of past joys speak to the soul. It is a bittersweet moment, for this sojourning season cannot stay. Alas, this is where I am now; part of me clinging to the past, part of me chasing the future.

I am back on this blog for reasons driven by the incoming autumn. It is a place to express simple things complexly, or complex things simply. Not the quickly passing thought or political statement of Facebook. Rather, the musings of someone searching for something big by sharing the little things.

Please give a warm welcome to the Daily Fahey, an old friend with new stories.
