  2. Voila! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate.

This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi- now vacant, Vanished!

However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious VIOLATION OF VOLITION!

    (V slashes poster with blades)

The only verdict is vengeance, a vendetta held as a votive not in vain! For the value and veracity of such shall ONE DAY vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous.

That was the best movie ever. I put the clip of V's speech on my mp3 player a year ago and memorized the whole thing to impress one of my teachers, who was a big V fan.

    Ever read the graphic novel?

  3. It was an amazing movie! Easily in my top 5. I haven't read the graphic novel yet, but if I ever get the chance I would.

  4. I haven't read the graphic novel yet, but I hear it has a lot of stuff that the Wachowski's took from the movie.

For example, V's theme song (I think it was Mozart's 5'th). The song is applied to V because the first three notes, in morse code, make the letter 'V'. And a bunch of crazy cool stuff like that.

Best part in the whole movie is when the camera is passing by the doors of the cells, and it goes III, IV... and then "V" and all of a sudden, without them even explicitly saying it you know EXACTLY where he got his name.

  5. I like the scene when he conducts the explosions like an orchestra, very poetic.

So what did you think about "Pretty. Odd."?

  6. Actually... I've only listened to like a handful of tracks so far. I plan on going run sometime later, so I'll probably catch up on the rest of the album.

Right from the beginning, though... this album is NOT their previous effort. I remember a while back the lead singer (name: Brendon?) said he was going to try and draw from more influences for the second album, and he was speaking the truth.

At some points it's almost... folk music! Banjos and guitars more than the electric instruments from the previous albums. The first song is hilarious... they finally address the fact that it's been almost three years since we've heard from them.

Sounds good so far. I'll check out the rest ASAP.

Man, you should make a music blog. We could write stuff together... I've got SO many different albums I could write on.
