I've been thinking recently on the story of Adam and Eve, and more specifically on the apple, the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Nobody knows what kind of fruit condemned mankind for all of history, but I have an idea...
The fruit is different for every human being, it is the thing or action that we know is wrong, but we justify with excuses, like it's not that bad or it doesn't hurt anybody. We either do it because of our own temptations and selfishness(Eve), or because people we trust, our peers, lead us to it(Adam).
Whether the story of Adam and Eve actually happened or not(there's good arguments for both sides) the moral is the same. We as humans are all sinners, and always have been, we are continuously eating the forbidden fruit, and only through Jesus can we be saved.
